Our Leadership
Ananya Segar
Chapter President
Ananya is a junior in high school in Jakarta, Indonesia. After learning about the lasting impact domestic violence can have on children's psychological well-being, she was inspired to start a chapter of The Safe Nest Project in her local community. Through the chapter, she hopes to provide children affected by domestic violence with comfort and support, while helping them feel seen, valued, and cared for through access to comfort kits.
Outside of the non-profit, Ananya enjoys reading, playing the piano and spending time with her friends on the badminton court.
Dev Chakraborty
Chapter Vice President
Dev is an 11th grader who feels incredibly fortunate to have grown up surrounded by love and support from his parents. He recognizes how fortunate he is to have had that experience and is deeply saddened that not every child has the same opportunity to grow up in a safe and supportive environment. This is one of the reasons he cares deeply about supporting survivors of domestic abuse and helping create moments of comfort, dignity, and safety for them. Outside of this work, Dev is passionate about aerospace engineering.
He loves playing his bass, and hooping with his friends.
