Chicago Chapter

Sarah is a sophomore at New Trier High School (NTHS) in Winnetka, IL. Moved by the lasting effects of domestic violence on children, she joined The Safe Nest Project with the intent of helping as many at-risk youth as possible. She believes that high school students can play a powerful role in creating positive change and thus is excited to expand the project into the greater Chicago area.

In her free time, Sarah is a dedicated figure skater and an active member of both the New Trier Policy Debate Team and the Amnesty International chapter.

Nicole is a sophomore at New Trier High School (NTHS) in Winnetka, IL. After doing a project about the impacts of domestic abuse in school, she realized how often affected children go unheard. After hearing about the Safe Nest Project, she realized this would be a perfect opportunity to help these kids and bring them comfort. In her free time, Nicole is actively involved in New Triers rowing team and student ambassador program, plays guitar, and is a policy debater for New Trier.
